Junior Software Engineer

Description:

Dowless & Associates, Inc. is seeking an energetic, innovative team player to perform as a Junior Software Engineer.  This candidate will be part of a team and will assist in the design and coding of future versions of the system including GUI improvement.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• 1+ years of full-time Java / J2EE product development experience
• 1+ years Oracle SQL experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good listening skills

Desirable:

• Hibernate experience and a firm understanding of Hibernate concepts
• Familiar with Ruby on Rails, Groovy, Python JDBC, Servlets, EJB, JSP, Tomcat, JBOSS, XML/XSLT
• Data conversion experience
• Agile development methodologies
• PuTTY/Telnet
