Security Engineering
We provide enterprise security solutions for the Federal IT sector and commercial fields, including security engineering, integration and support activities such as risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, incident assessment and response, and the implementation of mitigation strategies that may include PKI, encryption, Intrusion Detections System (IDS), system and/or network forensics and auditing and monitoring. We understand the unique security environment in which our customers operate.

Dowless & Associates provides support for the entire Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process. Our engineers work as either security consultants or system validators. As consultants, we analyze a customer’s architecture and recommend the placement of countermeasures in order to reduce risk. We also work with the customer to define security requirements, either through standards such as DCID 6/3 or custom needs, and develop System Security Plans to address those requirements. As validators, Dowless engineers work with certifiers to perform C&A testing and verify the system against security requirements.
